A student arrived late to the class. Then he asked to his friend about mid term and he answered that the lecturer almost finished marking the test and will get them next Tuesday. But, he was confused about that
Unfortunately, he didn't bring the textbokx, so he asked to his friend to share the book with him.
He didn't understand what did SEO mean and his friend explained little about it. He kept talking until his friend asked them to silent.
The late student still confused because why the lecturer told about search engine in American Revolution course.
Then, his friend said that it was a software engineering class and he was in wrong class.

Patrick and Selina met and they had a small talk about their condition right now after long time no see.
Selina told that she had been in London for a couple years to gain her dream job. But it was just a dream because the price to rent a flat is very expensive. Then, she decided to back home and live with her parents.
On the other hand, Patrick never left from the town. He is very happy because he celebrated his tenth anniversary. Patrick has two kids.

Anna, the presenter of a talk show was interviewing an author of best-selling book, No More Nine To Five. The book tells about how work-life balance is.
Chris Book tells about the difference between a traditional workplace and a modern workplace. According to his opinion, most people now can access their work through email from their mobile phone or laptop in the evening at home or somewhere else.
It takes a lot of advantages because people can work flexibly, so they need yo leave the office earlier in the afternoon if they needs to be with family and they can access their work from mobile phone.

Summary: What was the listening selection about?
The presenter asks to Gabriella about listening skill. For him, listening is the bad thing than speaking, because people speak so fast and he doesn't understand.
According to Gabriella, it is not strange thing. Most people do pretty well in speaking compared with listening.
In an exam, you can't ask for something to be repeated and you usually get one or two opportunities to listen the dialog.
But, when you come into the real life, you got 2 strategies. First, you're pretending to understand. Second is you get out from the conversation as fast as you can.
However, that's not going to help if the conversation is with high stakes.
Gabriella gives an easier tips if you want to understand the listening. She says we can summarize what the person said and make it into a question. Then the other person will naturally start answer.
