The Power of Belief -- mindset and success | Eduardo Briceño | TEDx Manhattan Beach

Summary: What was the listening selection about?
The way we understand our intelligence and abilities deeply impacts our success. Based on social science research and real life examples, Eduardo Briceño articulates how mindset, or the understanding of intelligence and abilities, is key.
When students of intelligence see their abilities as fixed, wheter they think they're naturals or just not built for a certain domain, they avoid challenge and lose interest when things get hard. Conversely, when they understand that abilitirs are developed, they more rapidly adopt learning-oriented behaviours such as deliberate practice and grit that enable them to achieve their goals. But this belief is itself malleable, and there are actions we can all take to establish a growth mindset and enable success for children, our peers and ourselves.

Keep Your Goals To Yourself | Derek Sivers

Summary: What was the listening selection about?
Derek Siver said that telling someone about your goals can make them less to happen.
When you tell someone your goal, you will get less motivated to achieve your goals. He also said that it's better to keep your goals secretly.

Lesson 1 : Speak English Clearly ! The Imitation
-

Summary: What was the listening selection about?
Usually, imitating is copying action or words.
In this video the speaker shares some tips to
Speak English Clearly and confidently.
1. I listen to her and read the text at the same time. So, I will be able to hear the stresses in their expressions and read them as well.
2. It's my turn to imitate her stress, intonation, and pronunciation. I'm going to hear her read each sentence, and there will be a pause after each one.
3. Shadow her.
It's a little bit tricky because I have to listening and speaking at the same time.
