Speak English Fluently Rule 1
-

Summary       : What was the listening section about?

The listening section is about Speak English Fluently Rule. In this section AJ Hoge said some important thing that you have to do to improve your speaking skill fluently
First, learn English phrases not individual words. Why A J Hoge recommended this rule? Because learn phrase or a group of word is very simple and powerful.
For example you have new word, it is hate.  Sometimes, you learn this new word by write down the word hate and you find the meaning in dictionary and memorize the word. It is the old way, that’s kind of textbook way, you probably remembered a lot of individual words. AJ Hoge said that it is not good way to memorize new word. It is much better if you learn phrase, and when you find these phrases you find that phrase in the real English podcast, English listening, English story book, so you don’t memorize the list of vocabulary and when you know the new word, you just write it down, but don’t just write down the new word. You want to write down the whole phrase of the sentence.
Example
Word : hate
Phrase : John hates ice cream
Phrase gives you a lot of information like:
1.     Phrases are easier to remember, because they have meaning and kind of picture of the story especially when you get them from something that you reading and listening too.
When you remember John hates ice cream, you remember the whole of story, who John is, why he hates ice cream, and you also remember why he didn’t like it. A lot of information you get help you remember the meaning of phrase and the word.
2.     When you learn phrase, you are learning grammar also
You learn to how to use the word correctly and you don’t need to think about the grammar. This is an other way that native speaker learn English grammar. You just need to write down the phrase
Example : John hates ice cream
So, sometimes if you write he hates ice cream, don’t forget ‘s’
Conclusion:
Every time you find the new word always write the phrase or the sentence. So, when you review or study it again always remember the entire phrase or sentence. You will remember the vocabulary faster, more quickly, and easily. You will get a lot of benefit when you learn phrase instead of word.

Vocabularies/language expression you learnt:
1.     Phrases
2.     Probably
3.     Entire
4.     Podcast
